Our Story
Subheading: Craft a compelling subheading that sparks curiosity.
How we started:
After having ministered for about 20 years as a born again minister in different capacities and diverse ministerial gifts and operations, Pastor Paul Odhiambo and the wife Serafine Odhiambo– Misaki, felt moved in the spirit to found this fellowship of believers after a period of 40 days of prayer and fasting on the Milimani – Mbita hill.
They named the church Mbita Pentecostal Chapel (MPC) with a Pentecostal orientation in Mbita town of Homa Bay County, Kenya. The Church was founded on 4th December 2011 by Pastor Paul Odhiambo Misaki and Serafine Chelagat Odhiambo-planted at the heart of Mbita town behind Osodo Guest House and later relocated to Milimani area of Mbita town in September 2018, where she sits now. The Church is a branch of Christ’s Pentecostal Gospel Ministries, registered by the Government of Kenya in 2009.

The Senior Pastor:
Having shared and received the blessings of Bishop Ezekiel Ombori – the current National Deputy Presiding Bishop of Christ Evangelistic Church (CEC) whom they were serving under as assistant pastors in the Mbita branch church, an evangelistic mission was organized where the late Bishop Nicholas Okungu and Evangelist Emmanuel Omondi both from Ugenya Siaya County ministered, culminating into the planting of the church on 4th December 2011 behind Osodo Guest House on a piece of land that was rented on a monthly basis.
Vision for the church building:
At MPC, we visualize building a 10,000 Seater Auditorium, running a radio/TV station for media evangelism that touches the whole world, feeding and providing material support to the needy populace of Mbita town and its environs, offering educational services with Christian values to the young and middle ages of people of Mbita, and co-working with a sister Prayer Centre and a Missionary Training Centre to be established at the outskirts of Mbita town to help execute the visualized mandate and mission of the church holistically.
